Private Transfer from Munich Airport to Lech am Arlberg

A private taxi from Munich Airport to Lech am Arlberg costs from €720 (fixed price per car) and takes about 3 hours 30 minutes for the approx. 310 km drive via Lindau, the Rhine valley and the Flexen Pass. Your driver tracks your flight, meets you in arrivals with a name sign and drives you door to door to your hotel, chalet or apartment in Lech – skis and luggage included. Call +43 664 930 66 26 or book on WhatsApp.

Taxi Anton provides a private airport transfer from Munich Airport (MUC) directly to Lech am Arlberg. The vehicle is reserved for your group only: no unrelated passengers, no scheduled stops and no train or bus changes. Your group. Your vehicle. Direct to Lech.

Munich has the widest choice of international and long-haul flights for the Alps, but Lech is a long way from the airport – across Bavaria, into Austria and over the Flexen Pass, to a village with no railway station. A direct transfer from the arrivals hall to your hotel, chalet or apartment in Lech, Oberlech or Zug turns that into one comfortable ride. Smooth, reliable and well-organised from airport pickup to hotel drop-off.

Our Munich to Lech ski transfers are made for the long day after a long flight: you sit down once in the arrivals hall and get out at your hotel door. A winter-ready VW Caravelle 4Motion or Mercedes Vito 4MATIC, an experienced driver from the Arlberg and room for everyone’s skis – no S-Bahn, no platform changes, no bus up the Flexen Pass.

Munich Airport (MUC) – Your Long-Haul Gateway to Lech

Munich Airport (MUC) – one of Germany’s largest international airports – is often the first choice for guests flying long-haul to the Alps. For Lech, Zürs or Stuben it is a practical gateway whenever there is no suitable flight to Innsbruck, Zurich or one of the regional airports nearer the Arlberg.

The drive is longer than from Innsbruck or Altenrhein, but with a private taxi it stays one simple door-to-door journey: no train changes, no shuttle timetable and no bus up the Flexen Pass at the end. Once you have your luggage and skis, your driver meets you in arrivals and takes you directly to your hotel or chalet in Lech.

Lech am Arlberg – Direct Transfer to Your Ski Resort

For guests landing in Munich, Lech waits at the end of a longer road journey. Lech am Arlberg is one of Austria’s most prestigious Alpine resorts and part of the Ski Arlberg area, known for excellent skiing, high-quality hotels and chalets, a traditional village centre and reliable snow.

Unlike St. Anton, Lech has no railway station, so the last part of every journey is by road – over the Flexen Pass. A private transfer from Munich Airport turns that long journey into one comfortable ride.

Munich Airport Transfer Pickup – Meet & Greet Included

Munich is a big airport with two terminals, so a personal meeting point matters. Send us your flight number when you book: we know your terminal and follow your actual arrival time rather than the timetable.

Once you have your luggage, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall of your terminal with your name on a sign. We send you the driver’s name and phone number before pickup, so you know who to look for before you land.

Your airport pickup includes:

  • Flight monitoring
  • Airport meet & greet in your terminal at Munich Airport, with a personal name sign
  • Luggage assistance
  • Your driver’s name and phone number before pickup
  • Direct transfer to your accommodation in Lech

No search for the right terminal exit, no taxi queue and no S-Bahn ticket machine after a long flight – your driver is waiting for you.

Flight Delays – Reliable Pickup for Your Munich to Lech Transfer

Delayed flight? No problem. Long-haul arrivals are often late. We monitor your flight and adjust your pickup to the actual arrival time; after landing we wait up to 60 minutes at no extra cost, and your fixed price stays the same.

You do not need to call us after landing: because we track the flight in real time, your Munich Airport to Lech transfer is ready when you come out of baggage reclaim, whatever the arrivals board says.

Map: Taxi from Munich Airport to Lech Taxi from Munich Airport to Lech: approx. 310 km, about 3 h 30 min. Taxi from Munich Airport to Lech: approx. 310 km, about 3 h 30 min. Yellow: the route we usually drive – via Memmingen, Lindau, Bregenz and the Rhine valley to Langen, then over the Flexen Pass. Grey: the alternative via Garmisch, the Fernpass and St. Anton (approx. 260 km, about 3 h 45 min), when it is quicker on the day. Schematic map, not to scale.

Main route via Lindau, the Rhine valley and the Flexen Pass

On most days we drive west on the A96 past Memmingen to Lindau on Lake Constance, cross into Austria at Bregenz and follow the Rhine valley and the Klostertal past Feldkirch and Bludenz to Langen am Arlberg. From Langen we climb through Stuben and over the Flexen Pass to Zürs and Lech – the direct way into Lech, without the Arlberg Pass.

Alternative route via the Fernpass and St. Anton

When traffic or the weather make it quicker on the day, your driver takes the alternative via Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Fernpass and Landeck to St. Anton, and from there over the Arlberg and the Flexen Pass. It is shorter – approx. 260 km instead of 310 km – but it crosses the mountains: when it snows, one car without snow chains sliding on the Fernpass can hold up the whole queue behind it. That is why we usually take the longer but more reliable motorway route via Lindau – about 3 h 30 min instead of 3 h 45 min.

Your private transfer from Munich Airport to Lech normally takes around 3 hours 30 minutes. The Flexen Pass road is cleared and kept open in winter. Snowfall and weekend ski traffic – especially around Lake Constance and on winter Saturdays – can make the drive longer, and our experienced local drivers plan it around the conditions on the day. Travel with confidence and peace of mind from Munich Airport to Lech.

What if the Flexen Pass is closed?

It happens rarely – only on days with very high avalanche danger, sometimes for a few hours, sometimes until the next morning. In winter the Flexen Pass is the only road into Lech, so we watch the road status and call you before you land. In practice, hotels in Lech usually find their guests a room for the night elsewhere on the Arlberg; we drive you there and agree the onward journey to Lech with you as soon as the road reopens.

Drop-off in Lech, Zug and Oberlech

We drive you to the door of your hotel, chalet or apartment in Lech or Zug. Most Oberlech guests go up with the Oberlechbahn cable car: we drop you at the valley station in Lech, and on busy days, such as Saturdays, we use the drop-off level beneath it in the Anger Garage. Your luggage goes onto a trolley, the lift staff take it up with the cable car, and it waits for you at the top station. Ask your hotel’s reception – we take you wherever they recommend.

How to Get from Munich to Lech – Taxi, Train or Bus?

For families, groups and skiers, the easiest way is a private taxi: about 3 h 30 min, straight to your hotel, from €720 per car. By public transport, Lech means several changes – S-Bahn into Munich, a long train journey to the Arlberg and a bus up to the village, because Lech has no railway station.

Which option suits you depends on how many of you travel, how much ski luggage you bring and how tired you will be after your flight.

Taxi Train + bus Rental car
Door to door ✅ Airport to your hotel ❌ Station, then bus up to Lech ⚠️ You drive yourself
Changes ✅ None ⚠️ Several, then Langen or St. Anton ✅ None
With skis and suitcases ✅ Easy ⚠️ Carrying bags between S-Bahn, train and bus ⚠️ Needs a big car
Late or delayed flight ✅ We track your flight ⚠️ Fixed timetable ✅ Yes
Flexen Pass in winter ✅ Local driver, 4×4, chains ✅ No driving ⚠️ You drive the mountain pass after a long flight
Best for Families, groups, ski luggage, long-haul arrivals Single travellers with light luggage Travellers who need a car all week

Our honest advice: alone with a small bag and plenty of time, public transport will get you there; after a long-haul flight, with family or skis, take the taxi.

Private Airport Transfer or Rental Car?

A hire car from Munich makes sense if you want to tour the region – during a ski week in Lech it mostly stays parked. After heavy snowfall spaces are scarce, many hotels have only a few, and garages and paid car parks in Lech and St. Anton are expensive. On top of that come three and a half hours at the wheel after a long flight, the Flexen Pass in winter, snow chains at the roadside and, for UK and Irish drivers, driving on the right.

No parking. No snow chains. No unfamiliar winter roads – just a direct transfer to your door.

Munich to Lech Ski Transfer – Skis & Luggage Included

Skis, snowboards, ski boots and normal holiday luggage travel free – every car has room for winter equipment. Tell us how many suitcases and ski bags you have so we send the right vehicle.

Long-haul travellers often bring a whole week’s winter luggage, and our private ski transfer from Munich Airport is planned for exactly that: suitcases, ski bags and boot bags for the whole family or group travel in the same car as you. For up to 8 passengers, let us know the number and size of your bags when you book, and we confirm that everything fits safely.

Taxi Munich Airport to Lech: 4×4 minibus with skis on the rear ski rack on a snowy Arlberg road
Taxi Munich Airport to Lech: skis, snowboards and suitcases travel free in our 4×4 minibuses.

Family-Friendly Airport Transfers to Lech – Free Child Seats

Child seats and boosters are free on request: tell us the children’s ages when you book.

After a long flight, children are tired – and an S-Bahn, a long train journey and a mountain bus are hard work with buggies and ski bags. In a private car your family travels together from the arrivals hall in Munich to the door of your hotel or chalet in Lech, with room to rest on the way and no changes at all.

Winter-Ready 4x4 Vehicles for Your Munich to Lech Transfer

We drive the Munich–Lech route in a VW Caravelle 4Motion or a Mercedes Vito 4MATIC – both all-wheel drive, with winter tyres and snow chains, leather seats, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and room for up to 8 passengers with luggage. Comfortable enough for three and a half hours on the road.

Both are modern, comfortable 4x4 vehicles – clean, safe and regularly maintained – relaxed on the motorway past Lake Constance and sure-footed on the last climb over the Flexen Pass.

Why Choose Taxi Anton for Your Munich to Lech Transfer?

Book your Munich Airport to Lech transfer directly with Taxi St. Anton, a local taxi company from the Arlberg, not with an international booking platform. Taxi Anton has run its own St. Anton Taxi business in St. Anton since 2011 – more than 15 years of experience – and the owner has driven taxis on the Arlberg since 1998.

Fixed Price for Your Lech Transfer – No Hidden Fees

One fixed price per car, from €720, with tolls, the vignette, skis and child seats included. A delayed long-haul flight, slow traffic at Lake Constance or a snowy Flexen Pass does not change it.

Professional Local Drivers for the Long Drive

Your professional, experienced local driver comes from the Arlberg, drives the Flexen Pass road every day of the season and knows when the Fernpass is the better choice. Punctuality matters to us: you receive the driver’s name and phone number before pickup, and your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign and helps with your luggage.

Comfortable, Hassle-Free Door-to-Door Travel

After a long flight, simply sit back: a comfortable, stress-free ride in a private vehicle with plenty of room for your ski equipment, booked conveniently by phone, WhatsApp or online, and delivered smoothly from the arrivals hall to the door of your hotel in Lech.

At a glance:

  • Fixed price, no hidden fees – from €720 per car, tolls, vignette, skis and child seats included; a delayed flight costs nothing extra.
  • Experienced local drivers – based on the Arlberg, on the Flexen Pass road every day of the season.
  • Meet & greet – your driver waits in the arrivals hall of your terminal with a name sign and helps with your luggage.
  • Private transfer – no shared shuttle, no stops for other guests.
  • Door-to-door – airport to your hotel, chalet or apartment in Lech or Zug, or to the Oberlechbahn for Oberlech.
  • Flight monitoring and free waiting time – your pickup follows the actual landing, and we wait up to 60 minutes at no extra cost.
  • Winter-ready 4x4 vehicles – Mercedes Vito 4MATIC and VW Caravelle 4Motion.
  • Ski equipment and free child seats – skis and snowboards travel free; child seats on request.
  • Local company, book direct – our own taxi business in St. Anton since 2011, 15+ years of experience; the owner has driven taxis on the Arlberg since 1998. More about Taxi Anton.
  • Easy to book – by phone, WhatsApp or with our online booking form.
  • 24/7 – early flight or late arrival, we drive day and night.

After a long flight, simply sit back: start your ski holiday relaxed – from the arrivals hall in Munich directly to your hotel in Lech.

Affordable Munich to Lech Transfers for Families & Groups

For a family or a group of friends, a private transfer is often the most affordable way from Munich Airport to Lech: up to 8 passengers travel in one vehicle at one fixed fare, as long as everyone and all the luggage fit safely.

No connections to catch and no strangers on board – only your group, your skis and one direct drive from Munich to the Flexen Pass. Great value and a family-friendly start to your holiday in Lech.

Return Transfer from Lech to Munich Airport

The way back costs the same. We pick you up at your hotel in Lech and plan the departure time around your flight, with plenty of time for snow, Saturday traffic and check-in at a big airport. Add the return airport transfer when you book and we confirm both rides together.

When should I leave Lech for Munich Airport?

We suggest a pickup time based on your departure, the weather forecast for the Flexen Pass, traffic around Lake Constance and how long you want at the airport. For long-haul flights, on Saturdays in the ski season and after fresh snow, we plan in extra time.

How to Book Your Munich Airport to Lech Transfer – Easy and Simple

Booking takes only a few minutes: online form, WhatsApp or a phone call – we answer 24/7.

  1. Send us your travel details – arrival date, flight number, number of passengers, your hotel in Lech, luggage, ski bags and child seats.
  2. We check availability and the right vehicle for your group.
  3. We confirm your fixed price by SMS or WhatsApp. Before pickup you receive your driver’s name and phone number.
  4. We follow your flight on the day and meet you in arrivals.
