Private airport transfer from Innsbruck Airport to Lech am Arlberg
Taxi Anton provides a private airport transfer from Innsbruck Airport (INN) directly to Lech am Arlberg. The vehicle is reserved for your group only: no unrelated passengers, no scheduled stops and no train or bus changes. Your group. Your vehicle. Direct to Lech.
Innsbruck is the closest major airport to the Arlberg, and the whole drive stays in Austria – no border, no Swiss vignette. Lech itself has no railway station and is reached over the Arlberg and the Flexen Pass, so a direct transfer from the arrivals hall to your hotel, chalet or apartment in Lech, Oberlech or Zug is the simplest way to arrive with skis and luggage. Smooth, reliable and well-organised from airport pickup to hotel drop-off.

Innsbruck Airport – a convenient starting point for Lech
For travellers heading to Lech am Arlberg, Innsbruck Airport is one of the closest major arrival airports on the Austrian side of the Alps.
The airport is located in Tyrol, with direct road access towards the Arlberg. From Innsbruck, the journey continues west through the Inn Valley before heading into the Arlberg region and on towards Lech.
Lech has no railway station, so even passengers using public transport need a road connection for the final part of the journey.
A private taxi provides a simple door-to-door transfer from Innsbruck Airport to your hotel or chalet in Lech, with skis, luggage and children travelling together in the same vehicle.
About Lech am Arlberg
For travellers flying into Innsbruck, Lech is only a short drive away. Lech am Arlberg is one of Austria’s most prestigious Alpine resorts and part of the Ski Arlberg area, known for excellent skiing, high-quality hotels and chalets, a traditional village centre and reliable snow.
Unlike St. Anton, Lech has no railway station, so the last part of every journey is by road – over the Flexen Pass. A private transfer from Innsbruck Airport gets you there quickly, without a change at Innsbruck station.
Meet & greet at Innsbruck Airport
Innsbruck is a compact airport, so you are out of the terminal quickly – handy when you still have about 1 h 40 min ahead of you to Lech. Send us your flight number when you book, and we plan the pickup around your actual landing time, not the timetable.
Once you have your luggage, your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign. We send you the driver’s name and phone number before pickup, so you know who to look for before you land.
Your airport pickup includes:
- Flight monitoring
- Meet & greet with a personal name sign
- Luggage assistance
- Direct transfer to your accommodation in Lech
Delayed flight? No problem.
We monitor your flight and adjust your pickup to the actual arrival time. After landing we wait up to 60 minutes at no extra cost, and your fixed price stays the same.
The route from Innsbruck Airport to Lech
From Innsbruck Airport we drive west through the Inn valley on the A12, past Telfs and Imst, to Landeck. From there the S16 climbs the Stanzertal past Pettneu to St. Anton. Instead of entering the Arlberg tunnel, we take the Arlberg Pass road up to St. Christoph and Alpe Rauz, then cross the Flexen Pass to Zürs and Lech.
Both pass roads are cleared and kept open in winter. Snowfall and weekend ski traffic can make the drive longer, and our experienced local drivers – based in St. Anton, right on this route – plan it around the conditions on the day. Travel with confidence and peace of mind from Innsbruck Airport to Lech.
What if a pass is closed?
Both closures are rare. If the Arlberg Pass between St. Christoph and Alpe Rauz is closed for a few hours because of avalanche danger, we drive through the Arlberg road tunnel to Langen and climb via Stuben to the Flexen Pass instead (tunnel toll and detour are charged extra, see prices above). The Flexen Pass itself is the only road into Lech in winter; on the rare days it closes, we call you before you land – hotels in Lech usually find their guests a room for the night elsewhere on the Arlberg, and we agree the onward journey with you as soon as the road reopens.
Drop-off in Lech, Zug and Oberlech
We drive you to the door of your hotel, chalet or apartment in Lech or Zug. Most Oberlech guests go up with the Oberlechbahn cable car: we drop you at the valley station in Lech, and on busy days, such as Saturdays, we use the drop-off level beneath it in the Anger Garage. Your luggage goes onto a trolley, the lift staff take it up with the cable car, and it waits for you at the top station. Ask your hotel’s reception – we take you wherever they recommend.
What is the best way to get from Innsbruck Airport to Lech?
For families, groups and skiers, the easiest way is a private taxi: about 1 h 40 min, straight to your hotel, from €280 per car. By public transport you need a bus to Innsbruck main station, the train to the Arlberg and then a bus up to Lech, because Lech has no railway station.
| Taxi | Bus + train + bus | Rental car | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Door to door | ✅ Airport to your hotel | ❌ Station, then bus up to Lech | ⚠️ You drive yourself |
| Changes | ✅ None | ⚠️ Innsbruck main station, then St. Anton or Langen | ✅ None |
| With skis and suitcases | ✅ Easy | ⚠️ Carrying bags between bus, train and bus | ⚠️ Needs a big car |
| Late or delayed flight | ✅ We track your flight | ⚠️ Fixed timetable | ✅ Yes |
| Arlberg and Flexen Pass in winter | ✅ Local driver, 4×4, chains | ✅ No driving | ⚠️ You drive two mountain passes |
| Best for | Families, groups, ski luggage, late arrivals | Single travellers with light luggage | Travellers who need a car all week |
Our honest advice: alone with a small bag and plenty of time, bus and train will get you there; with family, skis or a late flight, take the taxi.
How do I get from Innsbruck Airport to Lech without a taxi?
By bus, train and bus again, with two changes: bus F to Innsbruck main station, the train to Langen am Arlberg or St. Anton, then a bus up to Lech – around €27–32 per person plus the local bus.
Bus F leaves right outside the terminal for Innsbruck main station every 15 minutes; the ride takes about 20 minutes and costs around €3 per person. From the main station the train takes about 1 h 30 min to Langen am Arlberg (around €29 per person) or about 1 h 15 min to St. Anton (around €24). Lech has no railway station, so the last part over the Flexen Pass is by bus or taxi.
Coming by train? We pick you up at the station. Call us on +43 664 930 66 26, send a WhatsApp message or use the booking form – your driver waits at Langen or St. Anton station and drives you straight to your hotel in Lech, with no bus over the Flexen Pass. More on our railway station transfers.
By private taxi: no change at the main station, no carrying skis between bus and platform and no extra bus or taxi at the end – from the arrivals hall straight to your hotel door. Your group. Your vehicle. Airport to hotel, door to door.
Bus and train fares are approximate (winter 2026/27) and set by the operators.
