The route: how long does St Anton to Galtür take?
Galtür is the last village at the head of the Paznaun valley, at about 1,600 m. From St. Anton we drive down the Stanzertal on the S16, turn into the Paznaun valley near Pians and follow the Paznauntal road up through See, Kappl and Ischgl to Galtür – approx. 55 km, normally about 1 hour.
It is a valley road, not a mountain pass, and it is cleared in winter. Snowfall, icy roads and the Saturday changeover traffic in the Paznaun can make the drive longer – on busy winter Saturdays, plan some extra time. Driving times on this page are approximate, not guaranteed.
